A Life Between Vienna and Bratislava
Born in Graz on July 18, 1876, Gustáv Wintersteiner began his artistic formation under the guidance of his father, a fellow painter. This early immersion in the craft provided a foundation that he later refined at the Academy in Vienna. In 1894, Wintersteiner took on the role of scenographer for the Bratislava City Theatre.
