Yunxi was a notable figure of the Qing dynasty, born as the 21st surviving son of the Kangxi Emperor. This spiritual inclination is reflected in his paintings through the depiction of Taoist monks dressed in purple. His literary contributions included writing poems on his artworks and composing a cycle of poems titled "Poetry from Huajian hall." Known by various names and art names, such as Ziqiong daoren and Chunfu Jiushi, he was a man of multifaceted talents who balanced his political responsibilities within the Ministry of Revenue with a profound devotion to art and poetry.
