A Life in the Crown of Aragon
Francesc Comes was a Catalan painter who was active in the Kingdom of Valencia, specifically in the city of Xàtiva, between 1380 and 1384. During this period, records indicate he was involved in the commission of a retable of Saint Bernard, though the commission was ultimately left to Francesc Serra II. Following this time, between 1384 and 1389, Comes moved to Mallorca, where he would produce the majority of the works attributed to him.
