The painting "Blooming poppies" has a very strong impressionistic and pontillistic touch. Compared with Klimt’s known color palette in his studio paintings, he here decides to underline the naturalistic appearance of the luminosity of sunlight. He uses best possible plain colors in little dots and brushstrokes and so comes to a very specific color and texture.
