Das polnische Rider ist ein 1655 Gemälde eines Mannes, der durch eine murky Landschaft, jetzt in der Frick Collection in New York, auf dem Pferd reist. Als das Gemälde 1910 von Henry Frick gekauft wurde, gab es Konsens, dass die Arbeit von dem holländischen Maler Rembrandt aus dem 17. Jahrhundert war. Diese Zuschreibung wurde jedoch seitdem angefochten. Es wurde auch darüber diskutiert, ob das Gemälde als Porträt einer bestimmten Person, lebend oder historisch gedacht war, und wenn ja, oder wenn nicht, was es zu vertreten beabsichtigte. Die Qualität des Gemäldes ist im Allgemeinen ebenso vereinbart wie seine leichte Luft des Geheimnisses. Teile des Hintergrundes sind sehr skizziert oder unfertig.
