Dieser pyx ( ein gefäß, in dem das eucharistische heer aufbewahrt wird ) war ein geschenk der zisterzienserin margarete pfrumborn an ihr nonnenkloster in lichtental , in der nähe von Baden-Baden . sie wird daher auf der vorderseite in begleitung der könige gezeigt, die die jungfrau und das kind verehren . rechts ist der heilige bernhard von clairvaux , gründer des zisterzienserordens .
