Una magnífica obra de Titian's madurez temprana , este es sin duda uno de sus mejores retratos. . Los half-figure en three-quarter la vista se muestra al lado de una ventana abierta en un paisaje distante cuya high-keyed las armonías contrastan con los tonos bajos del interior en primer plano . La figura es estilísticamente similar a Titian's retrato de francesco maria della rovere , que ahora está en los uffizi .
