Il dipinto Ahasveros e Haman alla festa di Esther è una delle poche opere di Rembrandt van Rijn la cui completa provenienza è conosciuta. L'origine del dipinto può essere fatta risalire al 1662, due anni dopo il suo completamento. Il soggetto è un episodio dei capitoli 5-7 del libro di Esther nell'Antico Testamento. Haman, consigliere del re Assuero, propose di impiccare Mordechai per non pagargli il rispetto mentre era entrato nella stanza o salutandolo, e l'intera nazione ebraica come vendetta per il loro orgoglio. Il dipinto è piuttosto scuro, a causa della vernice che una volta era usata. È ospitato nel Museo Pushkin.
