Un magnifico lavoro di Titian's maturità precoce , questo è sicuramente uno dei suoi più grandi ritratti . Il half-figure in three-quarter la vista è mostrata accanto a una finestra aperta su un paesaggio distante il cui high-keyed armonie contrastano con i toni bassi degli interni in primo piano . Stilisticamente simile alla figura Titian's ritratto di francesco maria della rovere , che è ora agli uffizi .
