el tríptico stavelot es un relicario medieval destinado a proteger , honrar y exhibir piezas de la verdadera cruz . fue creado por los orfebres de mosan ( trabajando en el valle del río mosa ) alrededor 1156 en la abadía de stavelot en present-day Bélgica . el tríptico es un three-part santuario alado . En tal tríptico , las alas exteriores protegen ( cuando se cerró ) la sección media , que contiene dos trípticos más pequeños , cada uno contiene piezas de la verdadera cruz .
