De 1529 LUCAS CRANACH THE ELDER , et son fils lucas le jeune dépeint la vertu chrétienne de l'amour , caritas ou caritas , dans une douzaine de versions différentes . C'est arrivé seulement sur des photos individuelles , où caritas ( Charité ) n'apparaît pas en compagnie des sept ( ou plus ) vertus et vices . c'est caritas qui apparaît presque exclusivement dans les représentations de vertu de cranach , à l'exception de deux photos de justice sous la forme d'un nu féminin légèrement voilé portant des écailles et une épée .
