Come suggerisce il titolo , il doppio sogno di primavera include due scene separate . Sul lato sinistro del dipinto , c'è una statua , visto da dietro . Sulla mano destra della scena , è una vista dall'alto , guardando in un paesaggio . Sopra il paesaggio aleggia la grande testa rossa di a tailor’s manichino , fluttuando sopra la vista come una mongolfiera . La scena è tagliata a metà da una grande trave di legno , nella parte inferiore della quale si trova un disegno del progetto di una scena interna . la grande testa fittizia è un elemento ricorrente in molti de Chirico’s quadri .
