Elisabeth is depicted at the age of 37. She leans halfway against a chair with red-coated fabric, and trois-quart, the head a bit to the left. She is dressed in a sky-blue silk robe à la française set to the sleeves with layers of lace. Over her shoulders is a lace fichu draped. On her head she also wears a lace cap. Her right hand is hidden behind her skirt, her left hand is over the seatrest. She's wearing a white glove, possibly leather.
