Jacob Cressant, also known as Jacobus Cressant, was a French sculptor who lived and worked in the Dutch Republic. He was born in Abbeville, France, before 1685 and died after 1759. His earliest known works date from 1714. He is known for creating two garden vases in the Rijksmuseum, a portrait bust of Carolus Richard, aged eight, and a portrait bust of David van Mollem. He also worked on a portrait of David van Mollem with his family, Nicolaas and Jacob van Mollem, and Maria Margaretha van der Meulen, in the garden of his country house, Zijdebalen, along the River Vecht near Utrecht. He is also known for his work 'Neptune with a Hippocamp'.
