Leah Okadluk, also known as Leah Aksaajuq Otak, was an Iglulingmiut Inuit seamstress born in Nunavut, Canada in 1950. She was known for her skilled example of fur inlay, a technique used by Inuit seamstresses to decorate boots. One of her most famous works is a pair of men’s kamiik decorated with two sets of two polar bears, crafted in 1987. Leah Okadluk passed away in 2019, leaving behind a legacy of cultural bridge-building and contributions to Inuit culture.
