Sukarman, also known as Ong Tjoe Kim, was born in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1934. He is an Indonesia based artist and the founder of the Metro department store chain. The Metro department store was founded in 1953 and currently has 12 outlets located across Indonesia and 2 in Singapore. Sukarman is known for his artwork 'Dewi Sinta' which was created in 1990 using leather as the medium.
