Warren MacKenzie was an American craft potter. He was born on February 16, 1924 in Wilmette, Illinois, and was the second oldest of five children. He grew up in Wilmette and attended New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois. MacKenzie's surname is of Scottish origin and is an anglicized form of the Scottish Gaelic MacCoinnich, which is a patronymic form of the personal name Coinneach, anglicized as Kenneth. The personal name means 'handsome'. MacKenzie passed away on December 31, 2018.
