Bill Blass was an American fashion designer born on June 22, 1922, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States. He passed away on June 12, 2002, in New Preston, Connecticut. Blass was a style innovator whose work left an indelible mark on the fashion world. He was known for his sharp tailoring, accessories, perfume, and a multitude of branded product lines. Blass was the recipient of many fashion awards, including seven Coty Awards and the Fashion Institute of Technology's Lifetime Achievement Award (1999).
