北原世嘉次郎(1829年-1939年)生于福州市水上县,毕业于福州市柳川市登舒坎初级中学. 后移居东京入东京美术学校,后入高村可能所下学习雕塑,后开始在该校任教. 1922年出任东京工艺中学雕塑与工艺系助理教授. 他的作品被帝国展览会和日本美术学院展览会多次接受. 根据1919年 " Yanagawa Shinpo " 报纸的一篇文章,在Yanagawa的Kawano-Yakukan大楼举行了北原Shikajiro雕塑展览会,并展出他35件作品;Tachibana家族展出其中一件作品,题为 " 稻田之神 " 。 文章中所说的雕塑被认为是在这里展示的"收获之神".
