儒家学者南嘉学派画家,书法家,诗人雷三义生于大阪,1811年去京外出前曾在广岛和江户学习,曾在此开学并专心于作康史诗作(由日本作家用汉语作词). 这件有他诗作的手卷由一幅珍稀的丝沙丁鱼在长袍上用一幅由著名南加艺术家吉翁·南开(1975.268.88)用墨水绘画的竹林的主人委托. 这件衣服由卡拉坎克家族世代珍藏,这首诗以精通精致而简洁的中国人物写作,意在庆祝其被收录在卡拉坎克年轻女性的花坛上. 由于桑"y’ō"的地位是当时中国主要的书法家之一,这卷卷卷被珍藏了几个世纪,并被与珍贵的丝绸长袍一起保存. 这部诗作卷轴还附有另外两篇以并卷为格式的文件:一是记录了南开所所绘出多长袍的出处和San'y'是如何被启发来刷刷出这种优雅的活字(1975.269.90);一是真实性的陈述(1975.269.91).
