The Angel, Standing in the Sun is an oil on canvas painting by the English Romantic landscape painter, watercolourist and printmaker William Turner. It was painted in 1846. Remarkable for its stylistic form to represent the forces of nature. The Angel is none other than the Angel of the Apocalypse from the biblical Book of Revelation. This painting (79 x 79 cm) is currently housed in the Tate Collection, London.
