Napoleon vor der vermuteten Heimat von Nicolaus Copernicus, die er 1812 besuchte. Nach der Theorie, die 1740 von Samuel Luther Geret (der letzte Bürgermeister von Toruń vor den Trennwänden) gegründet wurde, wurde das Familienhaus als die unannehmliche Ecke Mietwohnung in 40 Kopernika Street (früher St. Anna Street, Ecke der Piekary Street) angenommen. Um diese Theorie zu betonen, hatte der Bürgermeister ein gelegentliches Denkmal vor dem Astronomen gebaut
