Dieses Porträt gehörte früher zur Avogadro-Sammlung in Brescia und repräsentiert wahrscheinlich Gerolamo Avogadro (gest. 1534). Auf der Stufe (unten rechts) ist es das früheste bekannte unabhängige lebensgroße Vollbild, das in Italien produziert wird. Der ferne Blick des Sitters und die Amplitude des Kostüms erinnern an die Tradition der venezianischen Porträts, die Giorgione und der junge Titian in den frühen Jahren des 16. Jahrhunderts entwickelt. Ein Saint Christopher Abzeichen wird prominent auf dem Gentleman angezeigt
