„Du bist hier“ ist ein „travelling/site-spezifisches“ Installationsprojekt, das ich seit 2009 in Berlin gestartet habe. Ein großer Plotterdruck auf Papier des Stadtlichtbildes der Erde von der NASA wird teilweise durch einen weißen Helium-gefüllten Ballon vom Boden abgehoben, der durch eine Saite genau in dem Punkt befestigt ist, der dem Ausstellungsort auf der Karte entspricht. Der Druck und der Ballon holen ein natürliches Volumen und Zeitlichkeit zum flachen Bild ab, während er ein stilles und poetisches Bild der Berglandschaften mit dem Mond bildet. Der Ballon erinnert auch an die Platzhalter von Google Earth-Karten und hält ihre Funktion, und er unterstreicht gleichzeitig komplexe und interdependente Beziehungen zwischen einem Kunstwerke und dem Ort, wo es ausgestellt wird.
