Ein Feld von starken Winterbäumen grenzt an einen Kanal- und Rutted Country-Pfad, gegenüber einem Feld, das für die Saison verfallen ist. Die Bäume scheinen gezielt für den Bau von Materialien oder Brennstoff gepflanzt, da zwei nach links gefallen sind. Gorter betont die Feinheit der holländischen Winterlandschaft, mit tonalen Grüns, Grauen und Braunen unter den grauen Wolken, die von dem blauen Himmel jenseits durchstoßen.
