Der Leib Christi, der sogenannte Mensch der Trauer, der von Engeln getragen wird, ist fast vorn gezeigt. Der Engel im Vordergrund hält einen Korb von Folterwerkzeugen (dornenkrone, Nägel). Links sind die drei Marianen auf dem Weg zum Grab, das sie dann leer finden werden.
