Trukanini (ca. 1812-1876) war eine Nuennone Frau aus Bruny Island. Nachdem mehrere Familienmitglieder von Siedlern entführt oder getötet worden waren, darunter ihr zukünftiger Ehemann Paraweena, wurde Woorrady 1829 ihr Partner. Trukanini und Woorrady reisten mit G A Robinson, dem offiziellen Protektor von Aborigines, dessen Ziel war, Indigene Menschen aus Tasmanien zu seiner Mission auf Flinders Island zu entfernen, für den angeblichen Nutzen der einheimischen und siedler Bevölkerungen.
