Die hier dargestellte Figur ist ein Söldner des Osmanischen Reiches. Der türkische Ausdruck für ihn ist Bashi-bazouk, der als „kopflos“ übersetzt wird. Diese Männer kämpften um Plünderung, einen Verein, der Bargue-Lizenz gab, um seine virtuose Malerei Technik zu verwenden, um Feinheit wie die Seidenkleidung und Narghile zu malen, oder Wasserrohr.
