Ingenieur von Brücken und Straßen (Ponts-et-Chaussées), er gründete schwierige Bahnlinien in der unteren Normandie, die ihm den Ritter der Ehrenlegion (1881). 1886 in Paris zum Dienst der öffentlichen Autobahn ernannt, leitete er dort die Werke der Belleville-Beobachterschaft, die Entwicklung des Buttes-Chaumont, die Bohrungen der Avenue de la République (unter der Autorität von L. Boreux, die dafür Kredit nimmt). Chefingenieur von Diversionen, arbeitete er für die Wasserversorgung der Avre (1892-94). Leiter des technischen Dienstes der Metropole (1898), ist er der Vater (erste Linie: Vincennes-Maillot, sekundiert von Réginald Legouez und Louis Brette). Durch die Entscheidung des Gemeinderates wird sein Name dem Bahnhof zugeordnet
