Darius Sessions (1769 - 1775) war ein stellvertretender Gouverneur der Rhode Island, der 1737 in Connecticut geboren wurde und 1737 an Yale studierte. Er war mit Rhode Island ins Meer getreten. Er war sehr relevant und beteiligt an der Bekämpfung der Gaspee-Rider; zum Beispiel, Sitzungen vorgeschlagen, um den Gouverneur eine Belohnung für die Einnahme der Rider zu veröffentlichen. Er hat auch Pläne entwickelt, die Angreifer zu finden und zu bestrafen. Die Sitzungen erhielten eine Entschädigung von der Kolonialgesetzgebung für seine Reise nach Pawtuxet und schickten die Crew der Gaspee zurück nach Newport. (
