Seit 1890 behauptete sich Maurice Denis als Theoretikerin der Nabis, die die von Gauguin etablierten Grundprinzipien festlegte. In dieser Szene auf den Docks im Hafen von Loctudy tanzen Breton Menschen aller Altersgruppen rund um das traditionelle Heiligtumsfeuer. Im Hintergrund leuchten andere Brände die Bucht bei Sonnenuntergang auf.
