Dieser hohl gegossene Blei-Eis-Skater gehört zu den vielen Dime-Store-Figuren von Olive Kooken (1904–1964) für die New Jersey Barclay Company. Bei 22 zog Kooken von Kansas zum Studium an der New Yorker Art Students League. Sie arbeitete in der Herstellung von Formen für die Süßigkeitenindustrie und später modellierte Art-Deco-Figuren für Lampen. Ihr Knack für Bildhauerei landete ihr Anfang der 1930er Jahre einen Job bei der Barclay Company, wo sie Prototypen für die Mehrzahl ihrer zivilen Skateure- und Eisenbahnfiguren bildete. Diese Zahl und andere aus ihrer Winter-beruhigten Linie blieb in der Produktion durch die 1960er Jahre.
