Vigée Le Bruns Schwägerin (1764–1811) gehörte zu einer Theaterfamilie und war eine talentierte Amateurdarstellerin und Sängerin. Dieses intime Porträt von ihr ist geschickt und schnell bemalt. Thick impasto verleiht der Ruff Substanz, die mit einem pinken Bogen befestigt ist, der mit blauen Highlights glitzert. Das frizzy, leicht gepuderte Haar wird mit einer Vielzahl von Bögen und Dralls gemacht.
