Die Frauen von Algiers ist ein 1834 Öl auf Leinwand Malerei von Eugène Delacroix. Das Gemälde ist für seine sexuellen Konnotationen bemerkenswert; es zeigt algerische Konkubinen eines Harems. Es zeigt auch Opium, die oft Gemälde von Prostituierten begleitet. Im 19. Jahrhundert war es für seinen sexuellen Inhalt und seinen orientalismus bekannt. Das Gemälde diente als Inspirationsquelle für die späteren Impressionisten und eine Serie von 15 Gemälden und zahlreichen Zeichnungen von Pablo Picasso im Jahr 1954. Das Gemälde wurde zuerst im Salon gezeigt, wo es universell bewundert wurde. König Louis Philippe kaufte es und präsentierte es dem Musée du Luxembourg, das damals ein Museum für zeitgenössische Kunst war. Nach dem Tod des Künstlers 1874 wurde das Gemälde in den Louvre verlegt, wo es heute gehalten wird.
