Gediminas’ Tower in Vilnius stammt aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg. Kazimirowski malte realistische Bilder: Der schneebedeckte Hügel mit Sträuchern strahlt die Frische des Winters aus. Die schwarze, rote und weiße Flagge des Deutschen Reiches fliegt über den Turm, und der geringe Blickwinkel verleiht ihm eine imposante Qualität. Die deutschen Behörden waren die ersten, die im 20. Jahrhundert eine nationale Flagge auf dem Turm flogen, um zu zeigen, welche Macht die Stadt regierte, und die Tradition ist seither erhalten. Textautor Laima Laučkaitė.
