Fra Angelico's die zarte vision scheint von der weite und imposanten größe roms und seiner denkmäler etwas überwältigt worden zu sein . um mit dem modernsten stil, der damals in rom angesagt war, konsequenter zu werden , fra angelico versuchte, seine szenen mit römischem monumentalem klassizismus zu versehen . dieses fresko wurde fälschlicherweise benozzo gozzoli zugeschrieben .
