la maja vestida ist ein gemälde des spanischen malers francisco de goya dazwischen 1798 und 1805 . es ist eine bekleidete version von la maja desnuda und wird daneben im selben raum des prado-museums in madrid ausgestellt . Das gemälde , die zuerst im besitz von premierminister manuel de godoy war , der als begeisterter frauenheld bekannt war , wurde ursprünglich in seinem haus vor der nackten maja so aufgehängt, dass die nackte maja jederzeit mit hilfe eines flaschenzugmechanismus aufgedeckt werden konnte . während der spanischen inquisition , das gemälde wurde gestohlen . es fand zweimal an der royal academy of fine arts in san fernando statt , und findet jetzt im museo del prado statt , schon seit 1901 .
