Der Sonnenschirm (auch bekannt als El Quitasol) ist eine Cartoon-Serie von Öl auf Leinenmalereien von der Malerin Francisco Goya. Diese Serie von Gemälden wurde speziell gemacht, um in Tapisserien umgewandelt werden, die an den Wänden des Königspalastes von El Pardo in Madrid, Spanien aufgehängt werden. Die Tapisserien zeigten ruhige Ereignisse im Alltag, die ihnen eine schöne Ergänzung zum Speisesaal von Prinz und Prinzessin von Asturias – der zukünftige König Karl IV. und Maria Luisa von Parma. Die Königin rief Goya an, weil sie den Speisesaal mit fröhlichen Szenen schmücken wollte; der Sonnenschirm und die anderen Wandteppiche waren Goyas Antwort auf diese Anfrage. Das Gemälde befindet sich derzeit im Museo del Prado in Madrid, wie es ein weiteres in der Serie ist, Blind mans Bluff.
