Dieses Blatt kann Teil eines großen Breviary gewesen sein, eine Art Buch mit den Psalmen, Schriftlesungen, Antiphonen und Gebete für jeden Tag des liturgischen Jahres. Solche großformatigen Breviaries wurden Anfang des sechzehnten Jahrhunderts in Flandern produziert. Der Stil dieser Miniatur ähnelt dem von Gerard David – insbesondere den Inneneinstellungen und Gesichtstypen des Meisters –, aber die unbegleitete Platzierung der Figuren im Raum deutet auf die Hand eines engen Anhängers oder Imitators in Brügge hin.
