Diese hochgeistige und vorzüglich gemachte Christus Segnung wurde von byzantinischen Ikonen angepasst, die im fünfzehnten Jahrhundert an die Niedrigen Länder gebracht wurden. Das Panel unterscheidet sich von den byzantinischen Modellen in der Frische der Beobachtung, die in Christus Gesicht und in der zarten Anlenkung der Hände sichtbar ist, letztere basiert auf Gerard Davids Zeichnungen aus dem Leben.
