David zeigt die Geburt Christi in der Wut als Szene, die kontinuierlich über alle drei Tafeln läuft, obwohl die Spenderfiguren von den heiligen Protagonisten getrennt gehalten werden. Trotz des freudigen Moments, der dargestellt ist, tragen die Figuren alle nüchterne Ausdrucksformen, die das Leiden und den Tod Christi vorausahnen. Die beiden Spender, die von Saints Jerome und Leonard präsentiert werden, sind noch nicht identifiziert. Sie könnten Anthony und Catherine genannt worden sein, da sie mit den Attributen (wie dem Schwein, dem Schwert und dem Spikedrad) der Heiligen mit diesen Namen bemalt werden.
