Diese Arbeit ist Teil einer Reihe von allegorischen Darstellungen der vier Kontinente, die ursprünglich als Overdoors dienten. Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo basierte seine Figur Asiens auf Symbolen, die in Cesare Ripas Iconologia (1593) kodifiziert wurden: der Palmzweig und Kamel. Wie Darstellungen von Heiligen oder anderen Figuren, die Künstler zu identifizieren, waren diese Attribute wichtige Signale für historische Publikum, obwohl sie im Fall der vier Kontinente schließlich in rassistische Stereotypen gefüttert. Wie die anderen großen allegorischen Fresken in dieser Galerie wurde dieses Panel wahrscheinlich um 1900 vom Palazzo Valle Marchesini Sala in Vicenza entfernt.
