Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz, Sammlung Wolfgang Gurlitt, erworben 1949 Margarethe Constance Lieser (1899–1943/44) wurde zu einem industrialistischen Paar in Wien geboren und nach ihrer Hochzeit 1921 nach Ungarn gezogen. Sie starb 1943 oder 1944 in London. Diese Studie für ein Porträt, das der Künstler nicht leben, zeigt Margarethe Constance Lieser en face. Die Frontalität des Porträts erinnert an andere Porträts von Klimt, wie Bachofen-Echt, Beer-Monti und Zuckerkandl. Die Art und Weise, wie Frontalität, Ausdruck und Handhaltung immer wiederkehrende Merkmale von Klimts weiblichen Porträts wurden, ist etwas wert.
