Das weltberühmte medizinische Buch Koreas, das Gwanghaegun 1610 vom 71-jährigen königlichen Arzt Heo Jun, Donguibogam gewidmet ist, ist in fünf Kapitel unterteilt: Naegyeongpyeon (Internale Medizin), Oehyeongpyeon (Externe Medizin), Japbyeongpyeon (Miscellaneous Diseases), Tangaekpyeon (Reguture Medicine). Die UNESCO hat ihren Beitrag zur Welt als historische Reliquie anerkannt, Donguibogam in ihrer Erinnerung an das Weltprogramm im Jahr 2010 aufgeführt und das Buch Koreas siebtes Kulturerbe aufgenommen.
