Ignatius Sichelbar (chinesischer Name, Ai Qimeng; 1708–1780) war ein Jesuiten, der als Hofmaler im Qing-Palast diente. Er malte die Hauptmerkmale der Arbeit mit westlichen Techniken; der chinesische Landschaft Hintergrund wurde von einem chinesischen Künstler gemalt. Jede Vorderseite für jedes der Gemälde hat ein encomium für den jeweiligen hund zusammengestellt von Liang Shizheng und Wang Youdun (1692–1758) und geschrieben von Ji Huang (1711–1794). In verschiedenen Posen sind die Jagdhunde realistisch mit dünnen Körpern dargestellt. Nach ihrem Auftreten sind die Tiere wahrscheinlich europäische Vollblutjagdhunde. Albumblatt 1
