Fürst Stanisław Jabłonowski (1799–1878) in Auftrag gegeben die Plakette 1871 vom Krakauer Bildhauer, Steinmetz und Denkmalkonservator Edward Stehlik (1825–1888). Er hatte es in der Wand des Schlosses Wawel befestigt. Die Inschrift auf dem Plaque lautet: KRAKUS, PRINCE of POLAND / RULED FROM 730 bis 750 / (PETERS METRYKI KORONNE FASC: 2. PAG 40.) / ON DIESER SPOT ist der KAVE / IN, in dem er den TERRIBLE DRAGON / UND auf WASSEL HILL UND FOUNDed the CITY / KRAKOW / PLAQUE ist SPIELT DIESER / PRINCE STANISŁAW PRUS JABŁONOWSKI / ART[ILLERY CAP[TAIN] POLISH ARMY. Elżbieta M. Firlet hat festgestellt, dass die Inschrift etwas von dem Text Jabłonowski komponiert unterscheidet. Wojnarowski muss diese Aquarell entweder am Ende von 1871, oder in der ersten Hälfte von 1872 gemalt haben, da es in Szymon Dutkiewicz Zbiór pomników i napisanych nagrobków w główniejszy kościołach krakowskich gedruckt im Juni 1872.
