Ein junger Mann und eine Frau saßen in einer Landschaft unter einem Baum. Der Mann hält einen Bogen in seiner rechten Hand; links eine Viola da gamba. Die Frau besprengt das Instrument mit Milch von ihrer linken Brust. Im Hintergrund eine Burg in einem Wasser oder einer ummauerten Stadt gebaut. Direkt im Hintergrund ein Hirte mit seiner Herde.
