Die Mahlzeit, die dem Botschafter Calkoen im Namen des Sultans Ahmed III., 14. September 1727, angeboten wird. Die Holländer und einige der türkischen Minister teilen Tabellen im Ratssaal. Teil einer Serie von Gemälden mit türkischen Motiven, die von dem Botschafter Cornelis Calkoen und seinem Cousin Nicolaas im Jahre 1817 im Vorstand des Levantsche Händel in Amsterdam nach den Niederlanden gebracht wurden.
