Im Juni 1854 traf Frederik Vermehren diesen 82-jährigen Hirten auf den Jutland Mooren. Er wanderte, strickte, unter dem blühenden Heidekraut mit seinen Schafen, seine einzige Firma, die der Hund an seinen Füßen ruht. In den nächsten Monaten hat diese unvorhersehbare Begegnung eine der wichtigsten ländlichen Szenen in der dänischen Kunstgeschichte hervorgebracht. Mann.
