Oberklasse Kolonialbürger reisten nach London, wo einige ihre Portraits malten. Britische Künstler zogen nach Amerika für ihre Karriere. Die Tatsache, dass wir nicht wissen, wo dieses Porträt gemalt wurde, offenbart und spricht während der Kolonialzeit mit dem blühenden transatlantischen Kulturaustausch.
